Autumn Arrives: Creative Arts Preschool

The Creative Arts Preschool at the Asheville Performing Arts Academy enters autumn ready for pumpkins, painting, and color-changing leaves.  I know this, because when I asked the students to “show me if you love fall” with a quiet raised hand, each student reached for the ceiling with both hands and jumped up and down.  Click below to get a better look of how much fun we had wrapping up the end of summer…

It’s easy to be proud of our little artists at the Creative Arts Preschool.  Our students have been working hard on Frog Jump Capitals through the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum.  It has been great to hear the students tell me how to properly write letters!  I will be attending HWT conferences on Pre-K Readiness, Writing, Literacy, & Math this weekend.  Looking forward to introducing new tools to our bright students.

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Temple Grandin and Dr. Jed Baker at a conference in Raleigh, NC.  That same weekend, I enjoyed the chance to hear Neil Gaiman and other raconteurs of the Unchained Tour at Diana Wortham Theatre.  It was a wonderful experience to network with parents, professionals, and performing artists.  I am excited to bring new teaching techniques and a renewed love for storytelling to the classroom.

The Asheville Performing Arts Academy held an Open House this past weekend.  If you missed it, don’t worry!  Our programs are still enrolling!  Call us at 828.253.4000 to register for classes or schedule a tour.

The Creative Arts Preschool is open Monday-Thursday from 9:15am-1:00pm with 2-4 days per week tuition options.  Our program combines the best practices of a variety of preschool curriculum.  Students experience a balance of structured activities and dramatic play.  We believe that learning should be a fun, creative, hands-on experience.  Students in the Creative Arts Preschool may also participate in other age-appropriate programs when the preschool day is done.  Programs available to young children at the Asheville Performing Arts Academy include Ballet/Tap, Irish Dance, and Children’s Theatre.  Join us!

This is a comment to the webmaster. Your website is missing out on at least 300 visitors per day. I came to this page via Google but it was difficult to find as you were not on the first page of search results. I have found a website which offers to dramatically increase your traffic to your website: http://voxseo.com/traffic/. I managed to get over 10,000 visitors per month using their services, you could also get lot more targeted visitors than you have now. Hope this helps 🙂 Take care.
