This week I discussed a lot of information about our Creative Arts Preschool with people in the Asheville community. Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions:
What ages do you accept in your preschool program?
We accept children 2-5 years old.
Does your school accept children with special needs?
Yes. The Creative Arts Preschool accepts any child whose needs can be met through our program, provided that there is space available. We allow therapists and special education specialists to come into our preschool to work one-on-one and in small groups with your child. If your child is accepted into our preschool program, you can talk with me, Kylee Frye, Creative Arts Preschool Director, about what arrangements can be made to best meet your child’s needs. I am also trained and experienced in working with exceptional children, including children with autism and other special needs.
Is it too late to register for the 2012-2013 school year?
No. The Creative Arts Preschool at the Asheville Performing Arts Academy practices continuous enrollment. We are always accepting applications. Feel free to call the Academy at 828.253.4000 to inquire about Creative Arts Preschool openings and to schedule a tour.
It’s always such a treat to get to work with creative children. I’m looking forward to another great year of preschool!
